Laura Beech joined the team at our Knutsford office in March 2013.
She is a chartered town planner, with over ten years of planning consultancy experience. Prior to joining Walsingham Planning, Laura worked for Roger Tym & Partners as an associate and for DPP as a principal planner.
Laura has worked for a wide range of public and private sector clients. However, she specialises in the retail and commercial leisure sector and has extensive experience of undertaking retail impact assessments, town centre health checks and sequential site assessments.
She has experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams and co-ordinating the submission of complex planning applications. She is also adept at undertaking public consultation exercises and assisting with planning appeals, including the preparation of proofs of evidence.
Recent projects have included the submission of a planning application for a mixed-use retail and commercial leisure scheme in Wakefield; assisting with an application for an out-of-centre food superstore in Altrincham; and the preparation of Planning and Retail Statements to support applications for discount food stores on sites across the country.
Outside work Laura enjoys relaxing with her son, walking in the countryside and participating in fun runs.
